Documentation Department

The documentation department is responsible for locating, purchasing and photographing archival materials around the world with local teams employed by the Institute. This activity has created the turnabout and exposure to the issue of religious and spiritual coping in the Holocaust through archival disclosure of new and unique materials previously considered "nonexistent". After a process of cataloging and preservation, it is then placed in the Shem Olam Archive which contains 600,000 documents and exhibits.
