Bar/Bat Mitzva Activities

Project Bar-Mitzvah addresses state school youngsters aged 12-13 and exposes them to a variety of fields in Jewish history and Jewish identity introducing applicable topics relating to the Holocaust through familiarization of basic concepts in Jewish tradition. The workshops are led by girls in the Institute who are in the National Service via individual and group activities. The selection of workshops include Siddur (prayer book) and prayer, the role of memory and also a creativity workshop. The workshops incorporate the Holocaust story and Jewish heritage. We present here a combination of a specific aim and a means to this aim.
